Pre-formed shells · fast install · long life
Fibreglass pools across the Gold Coast.
Aqua-Tech, Compass, Leisure Pools and Narellan fibreglass shells — manufactured offsite, craned into the excavation, plumbed and commissioned in 3–5 weeks total. Colour-stable for 25+ years with no resurface needed. Best for narrow beachside blocks, fast turnaround, and budget-conscious family pools.

Why fibreglass works on the Gold Coast.
Fibreglass is the right answer for most Gold Coast residential pool installs, for four reasons:
- Speed. 3–5 weeks excavation to swim. Concrete equivalents take 10–16 weeks.
- Cost. 30–50% cheaper than concrete-equivalent build.
- Salt resistance. Gel-coat surface is inert to salt-chlorinator water — no surface attack like pebble suffers.
- Resurface-free. No 12–20 year resurface cycle. The gel coat holds for 25+ years before colour fade matters.
When fibreglass is the WRONG answer.
- Irregular shape required. Fibreglass is mould-formed — you pick from the brand’s catalogue. Need a true freeform curve? Concrete.
- Length over 12m. Maximum standard mould is 12m. Lap pools above that = concrete.
- Block access blocked. Shell needs to crane in or come through a side gate. Established palm or 1.5m gap = problem. Sometimes solved with helicopter delivery (+$5K–$10K).
- Architectural high-end. Knife-edge weirs, full-tile interior, dark beach-entry tiles — fibreglass doesn’t do these convincingly. Concrete.
Install timeline (typical 7m shell).

- Day 3: Bed sand layer, shell delivery, crane install, level.
- Day 4–6: Plumbing rough-in (suction, return, drain, skimmer).
- Day 7–10: Backfill, coping, equipment installation.
- Day 11–15: Fill, commission, water balance, surround paving.
- Day 16–21: Glass fence, Form 23 inspection, handover.
