Pool builders & resurfacers in Robina.
Robina is master-planned family country. Late-1980s through 2010s build wave, mostly two-storey brick homes on 500–800m² blocks, family-led design briefs. About 60% of our local work is the first-resurface generation hitting now; the other 40% is new fibreglass installs in newer pockets and the occasional concrete-pool upgrade.
The Robina pool story.
First-resurface generation.
Robina’s peak build wave was 1990–2008. That makes the original pool stock 18–36 years old now — right in the first resurface window for the older end of the wave. The typical Robina pool we see in 2026 is an 8m×4m rectangular concrete pool with a tired pebble interior, salt-chlorinator system on its 3rd or 4th cell, and original 1990s solar heating that’s long since failed. Resurface + equipment modernisation is the standard package: $25K–$45K all-in, vs $80K–$120K for a full pool replacement.
Family-led design briefs.
The conversation here is almost always “safe for the kids, easy to maintain, big enough for swimming.” That points to: large baja / sun-deck step for toddlers and dogs, rounded coping (no sharp corners), self-cleaning return jets, variable-speed pump (quieter and 50% less energy), salt chlorinator rather than chlorine handling, and a robotic cleaner to take the weekly pool-vac off the parents’ chores. Whole-of-life pool ownership cost on a properly-spec’d new install: $1,200–$1,800/yr power + chemicals on a Robina-typical 8m pool.
Robina Woods / Robina Quays canal-edge work.
Robina Quays and parts of Robina Woods have man-made lake and canal frontage. These pools sit close to the lake — sometimes with a knife-edge wall facing the water. Council requires a structural engineer’s certificate for any pool within 3m of a lake/canal retaining wall (load transfer concerns). We’ve done a dozen of these — the engineering adds $4K–$8K but is non-negotiable.
Glass-fence integration with existing landscape.
Robina pool fencing is almost always retrofitted to an existing landscape: established palms, paving runs that pre-date the pool, decked alfresco attached to the house. We design the glass fence panels and gate placement to follow the existing paving lines rather than cutting them up — means the resurface + fence project finishes looking integrated rather than “new fence dropped on top.” Cross-reference: pool safety certificate (Form 23) compliance is essential at any sale event in Robina.
Typical Robina jobs.

- New fibreglass 7m family pool with paving surround ($55K–$72K turnkey)
- Robina Quays lake-edge concrete pool with structural engineering ($110K–$160K)
- Pre-sale pool safety certificate remediation + light cosmetic refresh ($8K–$15K)
- Variable-speed pump retrofit on tired single-speed system (saves $400–$800/yr in power)
